Township - Anderson Township, originally founded in 1793, is located in southwest Ohio, just east of metro Cincinnati.

Covering 31.2 square miles, Anderson Township is home to approximately 45,000 residents.  With convenient access to the highway, we are located only 15 minutes from downtown Cincinnati. We have a sprawling business district located along one of our main thoroughfares in the center of the township which carries over 35,000 vehicles a day.  The Forest Hills Schools, providing K-12 education, are consistently ranked among the best in the Greater Cincinnati area. The northern region of the township is anchored by industrial business, with much projected growth in the coming years.

We are lucky to be surrounded on 3 sides by rivers.  The Ohio River forms our southern border, with the Little Miami State and National Scenic River forming our western and northern borders.  Together the residents can enjoy 16 miles of riverfront.  Along the Ohio River we are proud to have historic Coney Island, home of the world’s largest recalculating pool.

Nearby Coney Island is the Riverbend Music Center, an outdoor amphitheater that holds up to 20,000 guests for concerts.  Also along the river, is River Downs Racetrack which offers live horse racing or simulcast racing year round.  Anderson Township also has greenspace areas that amount to over 500 acres of natural environment.  The township is also home to many major employers including Mercy Hospital Anderson and Senco Products, Inc.
